Preventative Care

We'll check your teeth, gums and bite, and discuss how you feel about your smile and whether you want to enhance it. We educate our patients on all the procedures available to them so they can choose the best option.

Restorative Dentistry

Customized Full and Partial Dentures as well as Fixed Bridges.

TMJ Relief - Jaw Pain, Migraine Headaches

Dr. Knowlton works with patients who have problems with the temporomandibular joint, causing pain or headaches. The temporomandibular joint connects the lower jaw, or mandible, to the temporal bone at the side of the head. Besides pain, other symptoms include jaw clicking sounds, limited movement, earaches and dizziness.

TMD Applicances - We use a multi-therapeutic treatment with physical therapy and massage therapy. We are well-versed in multiple forms of splint therapy to treat.

General Periodontal Therapy

Charting and Diagnostics Scaling and Root Planing

Periodontal scaling and root planing is a conservative cleaning procedure removing contamination and infection beneath the gum. Scaling removes deposits of bacterial plaque, calculus and pus that have accumulated in the infected pocket due to periodontitis. Root planing smoothes and cleans the root of the tooth. Dr. Knowlton uses this non-surgical treatment in cases of early to moderate stages of periodontitis. It may reduce the extent for surgical treatment in the more advanced stages of gum disease.

Special Dental Services

Oral Sedation

We realize some patients are apprehensive about receiving dental care. So we have worked hard to garner a reputation for making patients as comfortable and relaxed as possible. We have many relaxation techniques available to help ease your jitters. Medical techniques include oral sedation, a pill that will completely relax you, and nitrous oxide for patients needing this sedation level.

Dental Implants

A dental implant becomes an extremely stable and strong replacement tooth "root" constructed of medical grade titanium. Patients with dental implants are able to eat, smile, and laugh without fear their denture may slip or click, or their bridge will trap food. Our implants are now CAT-scan guided for sure placement and success!

Root Canals

Single-appointment root canals for any tooth.
