Meet Dr. Stewart

Andrew T. Stewart DMD, MAGD, ABGD

Education/Experience

Dr. Stewart originally hails from Pittsburgh, PA, and graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1989 with a degree in biology.  After graduating from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1993, he spent one year as the Resident at the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic.  Dr. Stewart worked with a few other dentists before finding his “home” in Fredericksburg, PA, where he has been in practice since 1996.

He earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2001 and a Mastership in 2006.  In 2009, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry.  He is one of only a handful of dentists in Pennsylvania to earn this distinction.  Since graduating from dental school, he has sat on several councils and committees in various dental groups.  In 2006, he finished his term as President of the Fourth District Dental Society of the Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA).  Most recently, he has been Editor of Keystone Explorer, the quarterly magazine of the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry, and sat on the Board of Directors of the same organization.

He is also active in forensics, serving on the Forensic Odontology Committee of the PDA.  He belongs to several scientific dental organizations including the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the American Society of Forensic Odontology, the Pennsylvania Dental Identification Team, and the Disaster Mortuary Operations Team of the federal Department of Health and Human Services.  For the last several years, he has also had the honor of serving as a Deputy Coroner in Dauphin County, where he is called in for consultation as needed.

Continuing Education

By regularly participating in continuing education, I am aware of the latest technology and dental treatments. My patients deserve the best, and continuing education allows me to provide my patients with more options and better results.

Commitment to Community

I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and look forward to working with you.

My favorite and most precious time is that spent with my loving family.
