Casandra, EFDA
Expanded Function Dental Assistant
I began working for Dr. Knowlton in 1990 and in all those years, I have gotten to know many of our patients and their families on a professional and personal level. I find it rewarding to be the difference in our patients’ oral health and lives because of the quality of care we provide. I have a hands-on approach to transforming smiles and always give exceptional care whether assisting at chairside or working on cosmetic procedures.
I am happily married to my husband, Jeff, and reside in Elizabethtown. We have a blended family that consists of six children, a cat, two Labradors, and a rescued racehorse named Bentley. I enjoy any time that I can spend outside but also like baking, interior design, and catering weddings.
Stacy, EFDA
Expanded Function Dental Assistant
I graduated with my EFDA Certificate from Harcum College in 2006. At Knowlton Dental Associates, I make sure that our patients are given the best care possible. I enjoy interacting with our patients, whether assisting Dr. Knowlton with cosmetic cases, treatments for tooth decay, or during surgical procedures. I can always be found smiling and doing whatever is needed to making going to the dentist a fun experience. Patients love to take advantage of my hospitality skills and are happily surprised when they are offered something to eat or to drink during a long procedure. Along with Dr. Knowlton and the rest of our team, I love making our patients laugh.
I am happily married and living in Elizabethtown with my husband, Justin, and our new puppy. I also love riding my Quarter Horses, Tally and Beau, and enjoy competing in horse shows. My time at home is spent working in the garden where I grow award-winning herbs and blooms.
Ruby
Dental Assistant
I received my Dental Assisting Certificate from York Technical Institute with honors and began my career as a full time dental assistant at Knowlton Dental Associates in 2010. I have also recently been appointed as our OSHA Coordinator, making sure we are in strict compliance with all sterilization and employee safety procedures. I, along with the rest of our team, embody the character of caring and courtesy to all our patients. I have a gentleness that all of our patients have come to appreciate whether I am assisting Dr. Knowlton with restorative procedures or simply getting to know them a little better.
I live with my parents and siblings at home where I find the love and encouragement of a great family life. I enjoy shopping and playing with technology, especially when it involves social networking with colleagues and friends.
Lori, RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist
I graduated in 1995 from Harrisburg Community College, obtaining an Associate of Arts degree in Dental Hygiene. Since then, I have also completed training from Susquehanna EMS and am an American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Instructor. At Knowlton Dental Associates, I make sure our patients are well informed and able to take responsibility for their own dental health. Education is a huge part of my job, and I enjoy seeing a patient improve their health because of the information that I have been able to share with them. Dental education doesn’t stop at our office though; I’m the designated Tooth Fairy and travel to local elementary schools to promote good hygiene.
I live in the Lebanon area with my two children, Justin and Kacie. I like keeping busy by going to the beach, playing volleyball and the piano, and being involved in church activities.
Laurel, RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist
My bubbly personality overflows with an exuberant smile when I greet my patients for their hygiene appointments, and my energy and spunk are appreciated by my patients of all ages. I especially love working with children and want each dental visit to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible. In addition to preventive cleanings, I also provide a wealth of information about how to best care for oral health and how it impacts the whole body. I use the latest techniques and diagnostic tools to make each hygiene procedure efficient and painless and am local anesthesia certified.
I live in Lancaster, PA with my wonderful parents but have recently become engaged to my fiancé, Anthony. I also have a fat black and white cat named Heifer. My free time is spent hiking, singing, and taking walks with Anthony. Caring for others is something I find very important. I have been to New Orleans three times to help hurricane victims and Kentucky twice to build houses for impoverished communities.
Linda
Financial Coordinator
As Dr. Knowlton’s first employee, I have had the opportunity to get to know all of the families that have come to our office. It has truly been an honor to get to know so many wonderful people in our community. I consult all patients about their financial options and take advantage of the full benefits of their insurance plans. I strongly believe in the necessity of high quality dental care and strive to make sure that it is available to everyone who enters our doors.
My husband, Michael, and I have six children, 12 grandchildren, and a cat named Moon. I love reading, singing in my church’s choir, and acting with the Elizabethtown Area Music Foundation in Oklahoma, the Sound of Music, and Bye Bye Birdie.
Dianna
Scheduling Coordinator
I graduated from Elizabethtown College and spent most of my career working in communications and public relations. Here at Knowlton Dental Associates, I take pleasure in finding the right appointment time to fit our patients’ scheduling and treatment needs. I always make sure to greet patients with a warm smile and a ready ear, hoping each patient who walks through our doors will know that their time is valued and they will be genuinely cared for at our office.
My husband Mike and I live in Maytown and have a blended family that includes four children, two granddaughters and one grandson. We enjoy taking in the arts and traveling whenever possible, and dance at almost any opportunity. My secret ambition is to time travel to meet O. Henry. Or Poe.
Jeanne
Practice Manager
I began my career in dentistry in 1971 as a chairside dental assistant. The entire dentistry discipline intrigued and challenged me to improve my knowledge and skills, and in 1987 I began working in the business management aspect of dentistry. That eventually lead to some consulting and teaching as an adjunct faculty member for a local community college. For the past 41 years I have been dedicated to continuing my knowledge of the dental field and helping people get the dentistry they need and want. I enjoy solving some of the challenges that arise when dealing with dental insurance companies so that our patients receive all the benefits they are entitled to. I am proud to say that I work for an exceptional dentist and with an exceptional team. We all strive to ensure that every dental visit is a pleasant and comfortable experience for our patients. One of many ways in which I continue my education is through a professional membership in AADOM, American Association of Dental Office Managers.
I live in Dover, PA, and have two grown children and six grandchildren. I enjoy volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club, my church, and on mission trips.
Karen
Registered Dental Hygienist and Expanded Function Dental Assistant
I have the unique ability to serve our patients in two capacities: one as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant and the other as a Dental Hygienist. I primarily see patients for regular hygiene visits which involve cleaning and polishing teeth, providing homecare instructions, taking X-rays, and placing sealants and fluoride. I was even one of the first hygienists in Pennsylvania to receive my license to deliver local anesthetic for the comfort of my patients. I warmly greet each patient and my outgoing personality is just the thing my patients look forward to.
I am a lifelong resident of Mount Joy and enjoy taking trips to Japan to visit my family. My free time is spent with my family and friends, as well as being involved with community activities. I also love to shop!
